Happy Birthday

I'm officially twenty-five, as of today. Just acknowledging it.

Carry on.

Indy Updates

As you may be able to tell, there's nothing new going on right now. We're heading into the double digits on the second issue, the first issue is having a little trouble finding a publisher, and I'm noodling a relatively cool idea for the third issue (if we dare to imagine such a venture).

Spoke with a former indy publisher who essentially said that comics were a dead medium, and I should quit it now before I become truly bitter. Ouch.

Speaking of indies, I saw Indy 4 opening day. It was fun enough for me to say it didn't "suck." It does make me hungry for the Frank Darabont draft, though. "Better than Raiders," Spielberg said. Still, it had some fun moments. I really dug the opening scene, and in retrospect the last scene is pretty cool. CG gophers, though. Not a single human being on the planet can train gophers. Gotta make 'em CG.

Redundancy

It's been said, but Iron Man was awesome! Congrats to the whole crew who made it so wup ass!

As I understand it, comic writer Brian Michael Bendis and a few fellow contemporaries were invited to weigh in on its development during pre-production. As one would imagine, he was pretty stoked to be treated like a real writer.

I hope this becomes something of standard practice for Marvel movies. Can you imagine Brubaker on the set of Captain America?

Fingers crossed!

Big Dreams

Ladies and gentlemen, I think it's high time we got ourselves an honest-to-goodness web site. Problem is, I have no idea how to make one...

I have big dreams, Horskateers! Dreams of our own URL, a place you can order your own copies of Horsemen without any outside involvement, our own email addresses, a store... It'll be grand.

Someday.
